Important

Nested objects and arrays are preserved as JSON strings inside CSV cells. CSV input uses its first row as property names.

How to use this json ↔ csv converter

  1. Choose the conversion direction.
  2. Paste JSON or CSV data.
  3. Convert, review and copy the result.

How do you convert JSON to CSV?

Paste a non-empty JSON array of objects, choose JSON to CSV, and run the converter. Code Compass creates one column for every property found across the objects, preserves missing values as empty cells, and quotes cells containing commas, quotes or line breaks. The conversion runs locally in the browser, so the pasted dataset is not uploaded to a Code Compass server.

What JSON structure works with CSV?

CSV is a flat table, so this converter expects an array whose items are objects, such as customer, event or API records. Primitive arrays and a single standalone object are rejected because they do not define consistent rows. Nested objects and arrays are preserved as JSON text inside a cell; this tool does not flatten nested keys into separate columns.

How do you convert CSV back to JSON?

Choose CSV to JSON and provide a header row followed by at least one data row. Headers must be unique and non-empty, quoted commas and line breaks are parsed correctly, and every output value remains a string. The result is a formatted JSON array of objects that can be checked further in the JSON Formatter after conversion.
